Atrápalo reviews: shows, Barcelona tickets and whether it's worth it

Verdict: Atrápalo can be the cheapest place for discounted shows, concerts and some visits in Barcelona, but it charges far more than the official site for Sagrada Família, and its activities are often non-refundable.

Verdict: 6 out of 10

Atrápalo started in Barcelona in 2000 selling discounted show tickets, and that is still its strongest suit. It competes with the platforms we work with and pays us nothing, so we'll be plain about it: on some shows and visits it matches or beats GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Headout. The score drops because of its terms (many activities can't be changed or cancelled), its sharply split reviews and the price of its Sagrada Família visits. It is also changing hands: Ávoris, part of the Barceló group, agreed to buy it in June 2026 and the competition authority cleared the deal in July.

What it sells and what it costs

Atrápalo works as an online agency: it resells third-party tickets and activities, sometimes at a discount. In Barcelona the comparison swings a lot from product to product. This is how it looked on the day we checked, against the official price and our partner platforms:

Atrápalo vs official price and other platforms (adult, from)

The €12 Palau offer may have been a promotion or a different format, so check language, length and date before paying. Platform prices change often.

The best and the worst

The best

  • Culture discounts. It's where Atrápalo began, and it shows: shows, theatre and concerts at prices you sometimes won't find elsewhere.
  • Competitive on flamenco. El Duende, the short show at Tablao Cordobés, was €25, the same as or less than on the platforms.
  • A company with local roots. Founded in Barcelona more than 25 years ago, with a visible company ID and a recent takeover reviewed by the competition authority.
  • Lots of positive ratings. 68% of its Trustpilot reviews are 5★.

The worst

  • Little flexibility. Activity pages say a confirmed booking generally can't be changed or cancelled.
  • Polarised reviews. 27% 1★ on Trustpilot; reviewers report slow or missing refunds after cancellations, though most of those complaints are about flights.
  • Few replies. According to Trustpilot, it answers 18% of negative reviews.
  • Pricey Sagrada Família. €84 for a guided visit, when the official ticket with a guide costs €30.
  • Checkout extras. Some users mention added "protection" or subscription charges, mainly when buying flights.
05 —

The small print

  • Cancellation: activities are usually non-changeable and non-cancellable once confirmed. If the organiser cancels a show or changes it substantially, Spanish public-shows rules entitle you to a full refund.
  • Booking fees: check the total before paying. Spain's consumer association OCU found in 2024 that 92% of the ticket sites it analysed charge booking fees, 11% on average, and refunds of those fees after cancellations are a frequent source of disputes.
  • Bad weather: indoor shows aren't affected; for outdoor visits, check the specific product page.
  • Children and accessibility: these depend on the venue (Palau, Tablao Cordobés, Sagrada Família), not on Atrápalo; check with the venue before buying.
  • New owner: with Ávoris in charge, the brand and terms may change; always read the terms in force when you book.

Traps and how to avoid them

Only buy once your date is fixed. If an activity can't be changed, any change of plan costs you the ticket. If in doubt, pick an option with free cancellation.
Check Sagrada Família on the official site first. The official ticket "with guided tour" costs €30 and includes a Basilica guide. Paying €84 only makes sense if official slots are gone or you want a different format.
Untick the extras. Before paying, check whether insurance, protection or subscriptions you didn't ask for have been added.
Check which country's site you're on. Atrápalo runs in Spain and several Latin American countries, and some users report mix-ups between offices. For Barcelona, buy on atrapalo.com and in euros.
Deals that look too good. If a visit costs half the official price, like the €12 Palau tour, confirm the language, length and route: it may be a different format.

How to book at the best price

Shows and concerts: check Atrápalo. For theatre, concerts or flamenco on a fixed date, look at atrapalo.com before paying elsewhere: it often has the best price.

If you need flexibility. El Duende flamenco on GetYourGuide costs from €27, rated 4.7/5 from 4,300+ reviews, and Headout has it from €25. Check on each page whether cancellation is free for your date.

Palau de la Música. If the €12 offer doesn't fit your date, the Tiqets guided tour starts at €21.60, below the official €24, and GetYourGuide's costs €24. At the Palau box office you pay €2 more per ticket.

Sagrada Família. Buy on the official site (from €26, €30 with a guide). If it's sold out or you want flexible cancellation, read our Sagrada Família guide before paying €84.

Alternatives

For guided tours with cancellation up to 24 hours ahead, look at Civitatis. For city cards and transport, Turisme de Barcelona's shop. And if it's flamenco or concerts you're after, we have dedicated guides.

Frequently asked questions

Is Atrápalo legit?

It's a real company: Atrápalo, S.L., founded in Barcelona in 2000, whose sale to Ávoris (Barceló group) was cleared by Spain's competition authority in 2026. It holds 4.5/5 from 3,665 reviews on Trustpilot, but they're sharply split: 27% are 1★, mostly about flights and refunds.

Can I cancel an Atrápalo ticket?

For many activities, no: their pages say a confirmed booking can't be changed or cancelled. If the organiser cancels the show, Spanish rules entitle you to a full refund.

Does Atrápalo charge booking fees?

Check the breakdown before paying. Most Spanish ticket sites charge them (92% according to a 2024 OCU study), and getting them back after a cancellation often leads to complaints.

Atrápalo or GetYourGuide for a flamenco show?

For El Duende, Atrápalo (€25) matches Headout and is slightly cheaper than GetYourGuide and Tiqets (€27). If you need to be able to cancel, check each platform's terms for your date.

Who owns Atrápalo?

Ávoris, the travel arm of the Barceló group, agreed to buy 100% on 4 June 2026, and Spain's competition authority cleared the deal without conditions in late July.

Should I buy Sagrada Família tickets on Atrápalo?

On price, no: its guided visit cost €84, against €30 for the official ticket with a guide and €44–54 on Tiqets, Headout or GetYourGuide.
